During the construction of the new lock in Eefde, Coenradie used the Leica RTC360 laser scanner at various points in time. We were able to monitor with great precision during construction whether everything went according to plan. Deviations were found and corrected before they would cause bigger problems and cost extra time and money for all parties involved.
Thanks to these accurate laser scans, the current (as-built) situation can be compared with a CAD model of the planned design. In the resulting visual deviation report, all deviations can be spotted at a glance.
Coenradie has developed special tools to optimize the photos taken by our laser scanners. This provides better colors that better match reality, resulting in a better looking point cloud. The HDR photos generated by the scanners are further processed by us to prevent overexposure and underexposure even further. Details become visible and the point cloud is easier to interpret. Thanks to our in-house developed tools, this extra photo editing process is largely automated.
